On 22 February 2024, THRDC had the honor of hosting a distinguished guest from the European Union (EU) represented by EU Inspector Ambassador Oliver Nette.

The visit aimed to discuss the state of human rights in Tanzania, share experiences, explore effective strategies to protect and defend rights against violations, identify the roles of development partners and civil society organizations (CSOs), and arrange avenues for collaboration

The meeting was also attended by Protection International (PI) Senior Protection Officer, Advocate Jones Sendodo, THRDC’s National Coordinator, Advocate Onesmo Olengurumwa, and THRDC program officers

THRDC is deeply grateful to the EU delegation for this important visit and believes that collaboration between THRDC, PI, and the EU will strengthen efforts to defend human rights in Tanzania.
