THRDC was honored to host CSOs meeting with Ms. Nada Alnashef, the Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights at the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) yesterday at our Zanzibar Office. She was accompanied by other delegates from UN OHCRH EARO, From OHCRH Geneva and UN Human Rights advisor from the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office Tanzania.

The meeting focused on how best we could reinforce the OHCHR’s role in implementing its mandate in Tanzania, including engagement with CSOs and human rights defenders. Most importantly, the need to sustain a long relationship between CSOs and the OHCHR was the center of the discussion
