Today 24th January 2024, THRDC was thrilled to participate in the consultative workshop on the review of NGO's contribution report and their process organized by the Office of Registrar of NGOs and NaCoNGO at Slipway in Dar es Salaam.

This marks a pivotal moment, as CSOs, for the first time are delving into the process of preparing this report since 2015. The 2023 NGO contribution report is expected to be launched this year 2024 will be the fifth report preceded by the 2015, 2020, 2021, and 2022 reports. In the four previous reports, the office of NGOs Registrar has been owning the process and preparing this report with minimal engagement of NGOs.

THRDC applauds this initiative of making the process participatory by engaging NGOs in the country. The workshop was officiated by Adv. Musa Sanganya-Assistant Director of NGO Registration. Others were Dr. Lilian Badi-NaCoNGO Chairperson and about 20 Executive Directors from NGOs.

From THRDC, Ms. Nuru Maro represented the National Coordinator Adv. Onesmo Olengurumwa. THRDC remains committed to aspiring for recognition of NGOs' contributions to National Development and will continue supporting NGO Registrar to realize this goal.
