THRDC National Coordinator, Onesmo Olengurumwa with His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier, The President of the Federal Republic of German who is on Visit to Tanzania. Among other things President Steinmeier admitted the facts that the Tanzania and Germany’s history is overshadowed by brutal and cruel colonial rules that caused lots of deaths and suffering of people of Tanzania. He specifically mentioned Maji Maji War in Songea as one of the brutal treatments to citizens of this nation that killed many. He promised to visit Maji Maji Area and meet the descendants of the war. He called up all of us to join hands with him in addressing this dark history as well as building a democratic Tanzania.
